If You Could Have Just One, Would You Rather Have A Microwave Or A Toaster/convection Oven?

At the moment I have neither. I have a stove. I would love both a microwave and this little convection oven I found. Problem is that they are each $60-100, and they both take up space on my tiny counter! My question to you is, which would you rather have? What do you think are the positives and negatives of each? Thanks for your help!

toaster convection oven. Hands down. Specially if you are a single person or without a large family to cook for.
I find turning on the stove to bake a single potato or other small project to a waste of energy and money. A convection oven is such a better use of electricity and value and has so many more potential uses than a microwave.
i have never used a microwave to cook anything. I know some people swear by them. But I dont like the texture it gives meat and I would never cook beef in a microwave. I usually just use it to warm something already cooked at an earlier time, or maybe melt butter or warm milk to add to mashed potatoes. Since I can do both these things on a cook top. Its just a waste of space to have a microwave.
But there are lots of good uses for a microwave as well. Its probably best that you take a look at your needs. Do you do a lot of prepackaged frozen meals or dinners? Its much easier to microwave them, not to mention faster, than to lay them on a sheet in the toaster oven and cook them. But, if you dont. Then I think a toaster oven is the best bet for a small kitchen.
in most toaster ovens you have
    1. a toaster
    2. a broiler
    3. a rotisserie oven
    and a basic oven
in a microwave, you just have a microwave.

I bought an oven about 10 years ago. It was expensive. At the time it was the best type available. A micro, and convection, and grill. Now, it still works well, but what I have to say is that you need to learn how to use it, and what for. A micro-wave must only be used to reheat, not to cook. So, keep your little convection oven. Nothing replaces the time it takes to cook. Nearly all things take time. Which in this modern world we don’t have. Think about it…..

Toaster oven, hands down. There are many things you can do- broil ( melting cheeses) bake small items instead of using the oven toasting as well, they make great garlic bread. I don’t use a microwave- the irradiation kills your food, I had one and tossed it because I didn’t use it.

hands down microwave. i didn’t grow up with a toaster oven and the oven works just fine for me in its place.
I think that toaster ovens just take up too much space on my counter and what you can cook in them, I can cook in a normal oven just fine.

microwave is time convenient but negatives as well because it reheat your food with “microwave” that is not good for your health. for the toaster, it may take some time to cook and conventional way i say. pros n cons to consider.

Microwave, definitely. I have never needed a convection oven. You can use the microwave for liquids too. Also m’wave great for re-heating food.

Without thinking any further no microwave !

A MW would probably be better, but I would have the convection oven.
For me they seem more versatile.
